Technic Pack

The Technic Pack is a modification pack for the popular sandbox construction game Minecraft. Popular and stable modifications are selected by the Technic pack team and are compiled into a single modification package and launcher. This allows players to easily modify Minecraft without extensive knowledge in Minecraft modification. The single player Technic Pack version 7.2 consists of 28 individual game modifications which include popular industrial mods: Industrial Craft , Build Craft and RedPower 2. The multiplayer SMP version compiled by the Technic pack team is alternatively called "Tekkit" and removes several incompatible multiplayer mods, while adding many multiplayer only features such as Bukkit compatibility.
The Technic pack and similar modification packs for sandbox game Minecraft have been popularized by The Yogscast 'Tekkit' YouTube series which extensively highlights the Tekkit modification package.
Modifications
The Technic Pack contains many modifications to the game which extensively change the game's dynamics. Many processes deemed "manual" in Minecraft which include mining can be completely automated with mining turtles or quarries. Other processes such as farming, crafting and building can also be automated.
However, this form of automation usually requires a sufficient amount of energy which at times may be difficult to obtain. Players can construct solar arrays, generators and entire power plants to power their applications. Power plants or Power centers can vary from sustainable applications such as solar arrays to entire oil refineries. It is also possible to build infinite energy or perpetual motion machines in Technic. Players are also able to store energy in a batbox or MFE which stores energy for future usage.
Modifications to the game's environment do not just extend to automation and also allow players to craft and build new items which can completely redesign the typical Minecraft environment. MAtmos is included in the modification pack which adds new atmospheric sounds to the game.
