The concepts and plan that birthed the Teaz N Pleaz concept were founded in 2005 initially on the historic streets of Folsom California under the name Ms Teaz by sex therapist and educator Samuel Dufour, a graduate of American River College, California Polytechnic State University and attended graduate school at California State University, Sacramento. The store immediately gathered much notable controversy in Folsom, and it was allowed to be grandfathered in under the new city ordinance targeted at adult related businesses.
Established with the goal of being a sex-positive and couple-centered alternative to the 'adult' bookstores of the time, Teaz N Pleaz has offered sex information and education and featured erotica and books about sexual health and pleasure. With a clear mission to redefine the stereo typical boutique or lingerie store, Teaz N Pleaz acts as a relationship specialist, helping women feel their best and couples of all ages and walks of life explore the most sensual side of their relationship.
