Taz Boga

Taz Boga is a Canadian News Anchor. She is currently the 6pm and 11pm anchor for CHCH News in Hamilton, Ontario.
Born in London, Ontario, Taz pursued a career in journalism after obtaining a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
She has spent more than decade working in various cities in the U.S. and Canada.
Boga started her career as a reporter and fill-in anchor in Erie, Pennsylvania at the CBS affiliate. She then spent the next two and a half years, back in Canada, as a general assignment reporter for 'A' News in Calgary, Alberta. Her next move was to 'A' News in Ottawa, Ontario, where she spent six and a half years as a reporter and the weekend anchor. Then she was off to CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario.
Boga joined the CHCH News team in the fall of 2009, as the anchor of News Now, weekday afternoons from 2 to 5 pm. She joined the station as it expanded local newscasts to be on all day long. Soon, Taz was co-anchoring CHCH Evening News at 6, while continuing as anchor of News Now. After huge cuts to local news in December 2015, resulting in News Now being cancelled, along with several other local programs, Boga continues as the anchor of CHCH Evening News at 6, and has added the 11pm anchor position to her duties.
She is an accomplished violinist and pianist and a strong proponent for the arts.
