Mr. Tapsiru Lamin Dainkeh was born in the town of Gbinti, Port Loko District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone to Fula and Temne parentage. He is a member of the prominent Temne-Fula Dainkeh Family originated from Port Loko District. He father was the Late Alhaji Lamin Dainkeh (Gbinti) and his mother is Haja Ami(Malansa). He is a keen academics and administrator. He is a member of so many international Academics, Banking, Financial and Economic regulating agencies including the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) and West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ). He is currently the Director of Banking Supervision, Bank of Sierra Leone. Career Dainkeh's numerous positions include teacher at the Sierra Leone Muslim Congress Secondary School; Part-time Lecturer at the Institute of Public Administrator and Management (IPAM - University of Sierra Leone); He has held Managerial positions and has head numerous branches of the Bank of Sierra Leone including Kenema and Zimi branches; He rose up to being a deputy Director of the Banking Supervision Department of the Bank of Sierra Leone; Dainkeh was the country's representative and Director of Administration and Finance for the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), Lagos, Nigeria (2004 - 2008); He was the deputy Director of Banking Supervision, Bank of Sierra Leone. (2009-2010)and is currently the Director of Banking Supervision, Bank of Sierra Leone. Education T.L Dainkeh started his early education in Gbinti. He attended his primary and early secondary school there. He the proceede to Freetown where he did and obtain his WAEC O'level at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School, Freetown. He then proceeded to the Sierra Leone Grammar School, Murray town, Freetown where he bagged his A' levels. He then advanced to Europe where he obtained his double Masters at Universities in Poland and Italy respectively. He also did a year fellowship program at the Boston University, Massachusetts, United States of America (1994-1995) and is an alumnus of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program at Boston University. He has had numerous trainings in Banking, Financial, Economics etc. and related disciplines in Nigeria, USA, UK, Canada and several African countries. Dainkeh has also attended countless conferences and has made so many presentations in his discipline in the aforementioned countries. External references
