Tamsin de Roemer

Tamsin de Roemer (born 1964, London) is the co-founder and creative director of the luxury fashion brand De Roemer.
Early life
De Roemer was born and educated in London at Queens Gate School but lived for much of her early childhood in the Mediterranean.
Career
De Roemer modelled with Models One in her twenties, traveling and spending time in New York City, Paris, Japan and Milan before scaling down her modelling career to design interiors. For three years she studied Japanese at the London School of Asian studies. She was hugely influenced by her time spent in Japan as a model absorbing its cultural aesthetic and history.
De Roemer designed interiors, furniture, lighting and leather accessories whilst simultaneously being the house model and muse to Jean Muir for ten years. Muir was a mentor to her and she learnt much about the craft and business of fashion through her.
In the mid 1990s, De Roemer launched Jade Inc, the jewellery brand with Jade Jagger that was popular among rock stars and fashionistas. In 2000 the label was bought by Garrard & Co and De Roemer was appointed by the company to design a collection for Asprey. The success of this collection led to her appointment as Creative Director of Garrard.
De Roemer
De Roemer left Garrard having gained more knowledge and love of fine jewellery and gem stones and in 2008 launched De Roemer with her husband, adventurer and entrepreneur, Justin Packshaw. The brand comprises jewellery, cashmere and hand bags all designed by De Roemer.
Since its creation the brand has received positive reviews and press and had been stocked in some of the world's most influential shops and worn by many high profile individuals including Kate Moss, Natalia Vodianova, Rachel Weisz and Tilda Swinton.
In 2008 the brand was awarded a “British Luxury Brand of Tomorrow” by the Walpole group. The brand has a flag ship store in London as well as an online website. British Vogue recently stated that De Roemer was ‘a luxury brand to watch’.
Associations
De Roemer has been formerly associated with Scott Crolla, Jean Muir, Koji Tatsuno, Et Vous, Jade Jagger and Asprey & Garrard.
She has also consulted and designed for The Rug Company, Jean Muir, Et Vous Paris, Et Vous Japan and Pearson Design and Architecture.
