Takatak() is a heavy metal band with elements of blues, progressive and groove from Pakistan, formed in 2010. Takatak's current lineup consists of vocalist Shahzore Bhatty, bassist Jamil Rizvi, guitarists Zain Peerzada and Syed Misbah Uddin, and drummers Yusuf Ramay and Daud Ramay. Their music is highly influenced by bands like Lamb of God, and Opeth. Their logo is styled with a metal umlaut (röck döts) as takätak. Formation and Brain Masala Takatak was formed through the LACAS music society, all the members of the band had a similar taste in music. It was initially called "Brain Masala" but due to having another band with the same name, they changed it to Takatak. Zain, Yusuf and Misbah have performed at The Oslo Mela Festival in 2010 as their band, Takatak. Demos The band has recorded some of their original demo songs including Sting Downer, Brain Masala, Giants, and The Epic Song(formerly known as The Mellow Song). First Official Single Their first single, "Break Down", was successfully released in October, 2010 and had a great response from their fans and followers and topped all local charts in the first week of release and gained a fan base from all over the world.
