Syemca

Chukwuemeka Chike Ezekpeazu (born 26 August 1991), known by his stage name Syemca, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer known for his participation in the season two of the talent competition The Voice Nigeria in 2017 finishing the second runner-up on the show.
Background
Syemca was born on 26 August 1991 in Wuse general hospital Abuja. He grew up with his three brothers. His parents are Pentecostals and his father is a pastor in the living faith foundation. During his upbringing, he listened to songs recorded by Oliver de Coque, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson. Syemca started singing at age 14 and went by the stage name Chislo until 2010.
Career
Syemca started pursuing a career in music after he graduated from Redeemers University Ogun state. He started performing his own songs during his NYSC year in Bayelsa state in 2015, his early influencers in music are highlife and Afro-beat musicians Oliver de Coque and Fela Kuti, the Pop icon, Michael Jackson is one of his strongest influencers which was evident in his performance at The Voice Nigeria reality show where he finished as the second runner up in 2017.
While serving, he got to perform in quite a number of event. One of his recorded songs (silence) was played constantly on Ray Power FM Bayelsa which got him better gigs through out his service year.
Syemca has recorded more songs and performed on some big stages, October 2017 Acoustic night at the Hilton, Nov 2017 Johnnie Jazz & Whisky Central park Abuja.
In 2017, Syemca auditioned for The Voice Nigeria; a reality show that was televised for three months internationally. He continuously thrilled viewers and supporters which gained him numerous votes, enough to keep him till the end of the show. On Sunday, 24 September 2017, Team Timi's Idyl emerged the winner of The Voice Nigeria season 2 as he emerged as the second runner-up of that season.
After his stay on The Voice, In 2018, a friend introduced him to Larry gaga who was the first person to give him a recording chance. He has since recorded over 15 songs out of which he will be releasing his debut single before the end of 2019 but Syemca has not been seen on the social media for many months.
