| Susannah Batko-Yovino (born 1979) was a Pennsylvania winner of the National Geography Bee, and the second youngest, and the first of only two female winners.  Her winning question in the 1990 bee was "Mount Erebus is a volcano on which continent?".  Her correct answer was Antarctica.  She helped pass a 1993 bill to increase funding for geography education. She later received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. from the University of Maryland.  She is currently in training to become a radiation oncologist. In 1995, Susannah was a finalist in the ' , losing to eventual winner and  quarterfinalist Matthew Zielenski.
