Surface Accessories

History
When the first Surface ever to be released came out, 2 accessories released with it. They're called the Type Cover, and the Touch Cover. Although, you have to pay for the covers, for a price of $100 each.
Type Cover
The Type Cover is a keyboard designed for any type of Surface model, but the cover has to be matched with the same model type, or else it will not work, and it would be either too small, or too big. Like the Touch Cover, it is $100, and is a keyboard. The only difference between the Type Cover and the Touch Cover is that the Type Cover has the keyboard characters popping out, while the Touch Cover does not have any characters popping out(see more in Touch Cover ). The Type Cover does not charge the device, even though it has external ports. Although, it acts like a Smart Cover - Apple's cover. So, when you cover up the screen with the keyboard, it puts the system on power save. When you open it back up, it powers on again.
Touch Cover
The Touch Cover is way similar to the Type Cover, only the keys do not pop out. Also, the texture of the keys are very smooth, and is made out of leather. The leather can be flammable, so for a safer way of the leather not catching on fire, put it away from hot objects, or near the Sun's rays. The Touch Cover is a bit awkward to use, unless if your used to typing on a tablet like - in a keyboard style. Again, this acts like the Smart Cover, or some people call it Apple's cover.

The next accessories are the 2 accessories presented at this time. There are a lot of accessories Microsoft has created, and I'm going to cover them all.
Surface Pen
Surface Pen Tip Kit
The Surface Pen Tip Kit is considered an accessory because it is a refill pack for the Surface Pen. When the tip of the Surface Pen is damaged, this tip kit is a refill pack just in case if that happens.
Surface Pen
The Surface Pen is a pen specifically designed for the Surface. Microsoft created this because any apps that need you to write, makes it easier with the Surface Pen. Also, a neat feature within the Surface Pen is that there is a purple button on top, like a real pen. When you press it down, the Surface Pen gives a signal to the Surface, and opens up OneNote, so that you can draw quickly if you need to. Also, you have to pair the Surface Pen with the type of Surface you want to connect the Pen with.
Surface Pen Loop
This Surface Pen Loop is not that big of a deal, but it's really worth it when you're really tired of carrying around a Surface Pen. The Surface Pen Loop makes it attachable to the cover to keep your Surface Pen safe, and more portable.
Mouse
Arc Touch Mouse
The Arc Touch Mouse is a mouse designed for the Surface models, and it is a very comfortable mouse, because of its design. It is very portable, and it connects to the Surface via Bluetooth.
Controller

This Xbox One controller can be used on the Xbox One itself, but it is compatible with any Surface models. This controller is built for if you like to play games on the PC, so it's more comfortable to use than using a mouse and the keyboard, or the touchpad and the keyboard.
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows
Even though this is an Xbox 360 controller, it is wireless, so you don't need to get annoyed by the wire.
Xbox 360 Wired Controller for Windows
This controller has a wire, but is lightweight. It's depending on what is on the wire, or blocking the wire. Although it is the lightest, and most flexible.
Charger & Dock
Surface Dock
The Surface Dock makes your Surface into a desktop PC. Just plug in the SurfaceConnect cable, and at that point, you can charge your device and access external monitors, a keyboard, mouse, and more. It won't make your Surface portable anymore, but unlocks more capabilities. Also, if you do not want it to be like a desktop PC anymore, simply unplug it, and then your Surface will become portable again.
65W Power Supply
This 65W(Watt) Power Supply is designed for the Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, and the Surface Pro 3. This power supply quickly recharges the device's battery, and with another USB, you can charge another device, while charging the Surface, so if you have another device, just plug in the device's charger type, and then both the Surface, and the device you're trying to charge will be charging at the same time. It's very suffiecient when one of your devices are desperate for charging, and all the wall plugs are being used.
Surface 3 Docking Station
This Docking Station is specifically designed for the Surface 3, due to its size. You can connect to a(n) HD monitor, wired network, audio system, a full-sized keyboard, printer, and more features with the Docking Station only for the Surface 3 itself. The Docking Station lets you dock your Surface 3, so that you do not need to hold it the whole time.
Surface 3 Power Supply
This accessory is another Surface 3 accessory. Again, it can be only used for the Surface 3, and you can charge up your Surface 3 with the 13W(Watt) Micro USB Power Supply. You can use the standard USB to a micro USB cable to charge other devices like a smartphone, or even a tablet, that has the same size, and type of charger..
Surface Pro 3 Power Supply
This type of power supply is designed for the Surface Pro 3, and you can charge your Surface Pro 3 with the 36W(Watt) Power Supply and charge up your Surface Pro 3 faster.
Surface Power Cover
The Surface Power Cover can only be used on the Surface 2, Surface Pro, and Surface Pro 2. This can boost up your Surface's battery, and has the features of a regular Type Cover.
Adapter
Wireless Display Adapter
With this accessory, you can display your Surface's screen on an HDTV or monitor. Streaming your favorite movies, playing a slideshow, and presenting has been easier thanks to the Wireless Display Adapter, all wirelessly. This accessory works with all Miracast enabled Windows 10 phones, tablets, and laptops, including the Surfaces. You don't need any internet access to use this accessory, unless if you need to display something that needs an internet connection.

This accessory is again - compatible with all Surface models. You can connect without this accessory, but it would be much slower than with this accessory.

Surface Sleeve
There are many styles, and colors of the Surface Sleeve. The use of the Surface Sleeve is to protect your Surface from getting destroyed. It safely secures your Surface, without damaging it. There are a lot of Surface Sleeves, and some that are compatible with its size, and width.
Surface Screen Protector
This accessory can protect your Surface from scratches, smudges, and chips with this tempered glass screen protector. You may think that the Surface Pen will not work if you install it on your Surface, but it does.
Incipio Clear/Anti-Fingerprint Screen Protector for Surface Pro
This accessory is a full-screen protector that not only repels dust and reduces glare, but it is also fingerprint-resistant and helps prevent scratches and smudges for optimal viewing. That means that if you smudge your finger on the Surface Pro, it will not stay there forever. This accessory is only designed for the Surface Pro.
