Surf Knight is a specialty web browser that was designed for kids. It combines Trident layout engine with parental controls, and a simple user interface designed for kids. Features The current version mainly provides two forms of usage. The parents can either set a number of sites that they wish their kids to be accessing (Selected sites only), or enable the address bar and make a list of undesired sites (Show Address Bar). The other features are: *Enable Locked Mode (Prevents accessing other applications) *Show Search Bar (Displays search icon for Answers, Google, Encarta, , Yahoo Kids) *Record Visited Pages (Keeps track of pages visited) *Block Pop-ups (Pop-up blocker) *Skin selection *Visual Page History (Takes snap shots of pages visited. Users may click on the images to navigate to these sites) Company Metin Kandiyoti is the founder and the sole proprietor of the project, doing business as Surf Knight, Boston, Massachusetts. Most of the team memebers of the project reside in Boston, MA. The domain name, surfknight.com, was registered in January 2007.
