Who came First?
Super Underwear Man was created in 1994. Christopher Walworth created the Super Underwear Man on about 7-December-1994, which is also his brother’s birthday. According to an article from the July 16, 1997 issue of The Californian newspaper (north San Diego and southern Riverside County, California), section B-1 (continues on page B-2), Walworth is quoted by Staff Reporter James Curran, as having stated that the Super Underwear Man was created “… 2 and ½ years ago while playing with his son, Cameron.” This article was in the 16-July-1997 edition of The Californian newspaper.
Walworth was having dinner with his family at the Canyon Pearl Chinese restaurant in Beaverton, Oregon. While waiting on food, Walworth initiated a drawing game with the kids. The game was to guess what the other was drawing. After a few iterations, Walworth hid his drawings from his son, and drew the first Super Underwear Man for his boy. When Walworth showed the picture to his son, Cameron exploded with laughter IT'S SUPER UNDERWEAR MAN! and the rest is history. This first hand-drawn picture is thought to have been lost or destroyed by over handling.
