Super Powers High School is a 2012 short action family film directed by Alex J. DeSouza and starring Andrew Lie, Jamar Walford, Felipe M. Leal, Stephen Wright and Brandon McDonald. Filming started in early March in Mississauga and was finished in late May 2012. The film was released on July 1st, 2012 in the United States and Canada. Plot Bruce Reid (portrayed by Andrew Lie) is a typical 15 year old student who attends a local high school named St. Francis Xavier. From the first day Bruce walked into his school, Bruce was always the person to be picked upon by his fellow classmates. Even though Bruce has had his two best friends Michael and Chris since first grade (portrayed by Jamar Walford and Felipe Leal) Bruce would usually spend his time alone outside on the school benches. However one morning as Bruce took his normal unwanted late stroll through the hallways, one extraordinary thing happened which would change Bruce's life forever. There in the hallways came from an unknown source, a mysterious potion named the "shifterac". Shortly after discovering the bottle Bruce had already inherited its special abilities and unlocked all its devastating secrets. For once in Bruce's life, he felt special and wanted again all thanks to his shifterac. However, with all this power in his bare hands, Bruce decides to use it to his advantage. While having the power to bend and manipulate time, Bruce falls into the dark underworld of cheating, stealing and sometimes even resorting to violent solutions. The film is also available on youtube for rental and additional VOD services. Home Release The film was officially released on July 1st 2012 on DVD, and Blu-ray in Canada. A U.S. home release will be launched at a later confirmed date. Sequel Currently, Super Powers High School 2 is rumored to be in the works for a 2013 release, however WonderLight has yet to confirm this rumour.
