Sujon Mahabub

Sujon Mahabub is a Bangladeshi performance artist. He is known for exploring the relationship between modern humans and time in his work, including a five-part series titled "Man the Slave of Time." including the Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh, the "One Belt One Road Art Exhibition" in China, the Kolkata International Performance Art Festival, and the Asian Cultural Carnival at the Great Wall of China, as part of an event organized by a platform called Shilpita Bangladesh.
In 2014 he visited all the sixty-four districts of the country under a project of Shilpakala to contribute to seventy-seven programmes as both coordinator and presenter. In each of the programmes he had to direct at least thirteen shows with twenty-five apprentices. including BTV, and acted in TV dramas, including those aired by Channel i. He has also played roles in comical renditions of Bangladeshi movie songs.
Sujon is currently working as a Guide Lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).
In 2022, Sujon was awarded the best award in the Performance Art category at the 23rd National Young Artist Art Exhibition for his work "Nijer Charkay Tel Dei," which explores themes of self-importance and motivation.
