Stratix was founded in 1983 by David Knowlton and Bonney Shuman. The company was originally called Bar Code Systems but changed its name to Stratix in 1993. They became involved in the bar code verification and film master business in the early days reselling Symbol Technologies verifiers and film masters. In the early days the company became a leading provider of bar code information to many retailers. In 2008 they celebrated their 25th year anniversary. Unfortunately in 2007 the founder David Knowlton died in a tragic accident in the Bahamas. However, today the company continues to expand and has over 25 fortune 100 companies as customers.
Today, Stratix serves companies in the Retail, Transportation & Logistics, Field Service and Government supply chain.
