"Stop This Car" is an R&B song written by American singer Michelle Williams for her upcoming third studio album. The song was announced as the lead single from the album via a blog post on Williams's offcial MySpace page on January 6 2008.. Although it has now been confirmed that "We Break the Dawn" will be the first single from Michelles album Unexpected followed by Stop This Car Release A snippet of the song was released on the internet December 10, 2007. The song distances Williams from her trademark gospel music. The song is planned to be released after Williams is done with the Broadway Musical, The Color Purple, in which she serves as "Shug Avery". Music video Williams has stated on her MySpace that there will be a music video. Williams has stated that she will not start doing promotion on the album until after the musical, because she wants to give the musical "a year of her life". |
