Steven D. Strauss is an American Management Consultant, Managing Director and OpEd columnist, currently appointed as John L. Weinberg/Goldman Sachs & Co Visiting Professor at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton, Prior to this, Strauss was on the faculty of the John F. Kennedy School of Government and was a Fellow at the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative. Strauss was a managing director of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. In 2008 Strauss worked for the Bloomberg administration on a review of NYC's economic development strategy. In addition, he is a contributing columnist at USA Today and other publications.
Strauss completed at BA at NYU and in 2002, Strauss obtained a PhD in Management Studies (with a focus on Marketing Strategy) from Yale, after which he worked for 5 years as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company.
