Robert Padulo

Robert B. Padulo Ph.D, is the founder and president of iWorkwell Inc. A graduate of both Harvard College and Oxford University, Padulo worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company before founding iWorkwell, Inc. in 1999.
Early life and background
Robert Beauchamp Padulo was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1966. He is the eldest son of Katharine Seamans Padulo and Louis Padulo, Ph.D., an award-winning educator and academic leader.. Robert is the oldest grandchild of famed rocket scientist Robert C. Seamans, Jr., Ph.D.; he is also the great great nephew of General George S. Patton, Jr. Robert grew up in Palo Alto, California as well as Boston and Brookline, Massachusetts, graduating from Brookline High School in 1985. He then attended Stanford University before transferring to Harvard College, where he graduated in 1990 with and a degree in Philosophy.<ref name="About our Founder"/>
Career
After graduating from Harvard, Padulo taught chemistry and physics at in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then entered the master's degree program in management science at Balliol College, Oxford University in the fall of 1992, and two years later transferred into the Ph.D. program. While still working on his Oxford doctoral thesis, Padulo joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant in London, New York and San Francisco during 1994 and 1995, before joining TapeLicator, Inc. as President in 1995, and later founding iWorkwell, Inc. in 1999. Two years after starting iWorkwell and while continuing to work full time, Padulo earned his Ph.D. in Management from Oxford in 2001; his doctoral thesis was titled, "Managing Corporate Transformations: Lessons From a Cross-Case Analysis of Empirical Studies."<ref name="About our Founder"/> At the time of its founding, iWorkwell was one of the first web-based Human Resources services. His innovation and stewardship of iWorkwell has made Padulo a prominent contributor to the HR industry.
Other interests
Padulo also serves a number of civic organizations in a leadership capacity. A former Board member of America's TV JobNetwork, Inc., he has been: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Greater Philadelphia Cares — which helps 3,000 other non-profits by annually engaging 13,000 volunteers to serve ¼ million recipients; President of the Entrepreneurs' RoundTable at the Union League of Philadelphia; a member of the Board of Directors of: the Harvard Club of Philadelphia; of CityStep at UPenn — a program (of which Padulo is a co-founder) where college students introduce public school youth to the performing arts; and of Philadelphia Forward.<ref name="About our Founder"/>
Padulo is also an accomplished athlete. He is a marathon runner, double-black-diamond snowboarder, and former swimmer who was a High School All-American and named High School "Athlete of the Year" in 1985. In 1988, Padulo qualified for the U.S Olympic Trials.<ref name="About our Founder"/>
