Steven L. McClellan (born February 11, 1982) is an American businessman and 2015 candidate for 43rd ward Alderman in the City of Chicago. The youngest son of Regina and William B, McClellan Sr., he was born on the south side of Chicago. After graduating from Kenwood Academy in 2000, McClellan attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2005. During college, McClellan spent his summers working on the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade as a contract runner. After graduating, he worked for a brokerage firm. In March 2009, McClellan started a video production company. On November 24, 2014, McClellan submitted his petition signatures at the Chicago Board of Elections to declare himself a candidate for 43rd ward alderman seat. The election is February 24, 2015. He was defeated by Michele Smith. |
