Steven A Williams

Steven A Williams (Music Producer) (Born 8 June 1965, in Coventry) is a music producer, mix engineer, composer, musician and studio owner (The Chapel Studios)
Career
After taking up the drums and piano at the early age of 9, Steve has been active in the music industry for over 20 years. He studied Orchestral music at the Royal Academy of Music, London, before moving on to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied jazz and rock.
Steve has been active within the music industry for over 20 years. Starting out as drummer for Midge Ure of Ultravox throughout the 1980s he recorded, toured and acted as musical director (having to pick up and learn many instruments along the way) for numerous artists and their tours, including Stock, Aitken and Waterman stars Rick Astley and Kim Appleby, as well as artists such as Lisa Stansfield.

"I came out of Guildhall and I'd heard that you might land something if you answered adverts in Melody Maker. I answered one looking for a drummer; it turned out to be Midge Ure and I went on tour with him around the world! I ended up having to learn a whole host of instruments including bodhran, accordian and even the penny whistle..."

Following his successful time as a performer Steve began working on music for films whilst building a reputation as a music producer and mix engineer. Steve worked on music for the Johnny Depp film From Hell as well as starring Britney Spears. As a producer Steve has worked with the likes of Sting, Eric Clapton and Lisa Stansfield.
Chapel Studios
In 2004 Steve opened The Chapel Studios a recording studio based in South West London, as a permanent base from which to continue his work from. His facility at Chapel is designed to deal with the demands of both the fields of music and film in which
Steve has worked in over his career.
