Steve Seifert is an American bluegrass bass guitarist and fine artist. Music Career Seifert's music career dates to 1978. He currently plays bass guitar in the notable alt-country band, Groovy Rednecks. The band has been considered a top LA Country Band for decades and has been featured on the cover and in an in-depth story in the LA Weekly. They record for the label "Chicken Fried Steaks" and have been extolled for their "...wild, hootin’ and hollerin’ country rock..." Seifert is featured on the band's five cd's. Seifert also plays bass guitar in the bluegrass group, Fair Market Band. The Fair Market Band won the 2017 "Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Festival" group category. Seifert has also played and recorded with the group "Old Bull" on the album "Manifesto" in 2007, played with the group, "Killing Cassanova" and recorded on the 2014 "Killng Cassanova" album and on the 2015 album "Time Keeps Rolling." In 2020, Seifert became a founding member of "The Steve Seifert Project," a virtual music group composed of members who are all named, "Steve Seifert" including the notable Nashville dulcimer player, Steve Seifert and Albuquerque saxophonist, Steve Seifert. Art Career Seifert also is a fine artist and painter. He has contributed outdoor murals in Mercado Hollywood, and his work can be found in private and corporate collections.
