Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic

Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic is a Gospel Hip Hop Band music group formed in 2006 by CEO and Manager Andre Ferguson and Bassist Steve Mitchell.  The band is signed to the Maryland and DC based record label DAAS WUZ UP ENTERTAINMENT. The band was formed to bring about a positive approach to music and video to encourage the well being of others through faith based lyrics.
History
2006-2008: Formation of group Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic
Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic recorded their first album in 2006 called "Testimony 1: Lyrics for Life. This album was nominated for a Gospel Music Stellar Award in 2007.  In 2008, Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic released the single Lock and Load along with a video that played on BET Network, Word Network, and JCTV Network. Joe L Da Vessel also released a song created for the District of Columbia voting rights organization DC VOTE, called "In DC We Demand The Vote". Commissioned by DC Vote a 501c3 corp,  it's cast consisted of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, Shadow Senator Michael Brown and other dignitaries. "In DC We Demand a Vote" video was played at Barack Obama's Democratic National Convention across all major networks. 
In 2009, the song "I See" was released and won an Independent Music Award as well as the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards Vox Populi Poll. 
In 2009, Joe L Da Vessel and Melodic released the album. "The Big Shank Redemption" The album featured the legendary Kurtis Blow, and world renown Jazz Saxophonist Davey Yarborough.
