Steve Pallett

Biography
Stephen William Pallett was born in 1959 in Jersey. He was educated at St. Marks primary school and Hautlieu Grammar School. Pallett is married to Ann (nee Perree). They have three children and live on Mont a La Brune in St.Brelade. He served as a manager, committee member and Vice President of football club until June 2011 when he was elected as an Honorary Life Vice President of St.Ouens. Pallett was a former manager, coach, and treasurer of the the defunct Oaklands St. Saviour and Hautlians football clubs. He represented Jersey in the Junior Muratti in 1977. In April 2007 he successfully qualified as a football coach with the Jersey FA.
Political life
Jersey Elections 2005
In 2005, Pallett twice ran as a candidate for the States Assembly, first for Constable of Saint Brélade, Jersey against the incumbent Connetable Mike Jackson, then for Deputy of Saint Brélade, Jersey No. 2 district. He was narrowly defeated finishing third place in a field of seven, with the top two being elected, finishing 70 votes behind [. Deputy Sean Power topped the poll.
Former Chairman of the Jersey Democratic Alliance
When Deputy Southern stepped down as Chair of the Jersey Democratic Alliance in 2006, Pallett was appointed acting chair and considered the option of acting as a pressure group. At the subsequent general assembly, however, the party decided to continue to operate as a political party and Pallett was appointed Chairman. Pallett resigned as both Chairman and as a member of the JDA in 2007 due to disagreements over future policy. Pallett has no political affiliations in Jersey or the UK but will be standing in the forthcoming elections in Jersey in October 2011.
Parish Municipality
Pallett was elected to the position of Constable's Officer for the Vingtaine de la Moye in the parish of Saint Brélade, Jersey in 2006. In 2008 he was elected and sworn in as Centenier for the Parish of St. Brelade.
