Steve Heapy

Stephen Paul Heapy (born 5 March 1969) is a British businessman, and the Chief Executive of the Yorkshire-based British low-cost airline Jet2.
Early life
He was born in Oldham. He has an older brother (born 1967). He attended secondary school in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham.
Career
From 2005-07 he worked for a division of MyTravel Group, which was bought by Thomas Cook AG, to become part of Thomas Cook Group on 19 June 2007.
Jet2
Jet2.com is owned by Dart Group, the longer-established air freight company, and was formed in 2003. Its largest hub is at Manchester Airport. He became Chief Operating Officer of Jet2 in November 2009, and Managing Director of Jet2 Holidays. He became Chief Executive of Jet2.
In early February 2017, Thomas Cook no longer sold any Jet2 holidays in any of its 790 UK shops. TUI Group stopped selling any Jet2 holidays from December 2016 in its UK shops.
Personal life
He lives in the west of Greater Manchester. He married in July 1995. They have two daughters (born June 1998 and February 2000).
