Steve Dangle Glynn

Steve "Dangle" Glynn (born March 12, 1988) is a Canadian writer and video blogger who currently works for Sportsnet.ca as a Prep Coordinator. He is best known for his YouTube channel, SteveDangle, where he reacts to games played by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He currently has over 34,000 followers on Twitter and was verified on November 8, 2015.
Personal life
Glynn was born on March 12, 1988 (27 years old) in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb northeast of Toronto, Ontario.
Glynn graduated from Scarborough's Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate Institute in 2006, and later went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Radio and Television Arts in 2010 from Ryerson University.
Glynn currently lives in Oshawa, Ontario with his wife, Sarah Louise Glynn who refers to herself as Mrs. Dangle on Twitter, along with their dog Iggy.
YouTube career
Glynn's first attempt into Canadian stardom started in October 2007 when he uploaded his first YouTube video under the account name "SteveDangle". He called these videos "Leaf Fan Reaction", or LFR, and the premise behind these videos was to react to every Toronto Maple Leafs game during the regular season. Glynn analyzes game play and voices his opinion, while also infusing pop culture references. With his satirical comedy, Glynn also creates nicknames for players, which he refers to as Mimico names. Glynn has also been creating videos for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2012. Glynn is currently in his 9th season of LFR videos, with over 30,000 subscribers and just under 7 million video views. Between 2012 and 2014, Glynn continued his career with Nike Canada as a junior social media strategist. Working with Ambit Media Inc., Glynn focused on outreach for social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as created content.

From 2011 until 2012, Glynn co-hosted the online show "Joining the Rush" with Russian hockey reporter Andrey Osadchenko. The show consisted of hockey news and highlights with a comedic twist. Glynn also contributed to allhockey.ru's website on a weekly basis.
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
From 2011 until 2014, Glynn was an associate producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Toronto, Ontario. Glynn created sports game packages, content for PJ's Shot of the Game, and McDonald's Morning Highlights. Along with this content, he created videos for the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and posted them to the CBC Sports website.
Mississauga Steelheads Hockey Club
During the 2012-2013 season, Glynn was an in-game co-host for the Mississauga Steelheads of the with Aly Munro. Glynn was active with fan involvement during period intermissions, through promotions and prizes. This allowed Glynn to gain experience in improvisation, as there was not much of a script to rehearse.
Kontinental Hockey League
During the 2012-2013 season, Glynn was also a co-producer for the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Working alongside of Andrey Osadchenko, Glynn created videos in English for the KHL's YouTube channel. These videos included game highlights, top ten highlight reels, and features on individual players.
Nation Network
Since 2012, Glynn has been a contributor for a Toronto Maple Leafs fan website, the Leafs Nation. He has created content and promotes his YouTube channel, formerly as the website's Managing Editor. He further discusses trades, games, and news related to the Maple Leafs and the Toronto Marlies of the .
Steve Dangle podcast
Recently Glynn has been a co-creator and co-host of the Steve Dangle Podcast. Created in May 2013, the sports talk show is known for talking hockey, including a side of nonsense along with his co-host and Canadian disc jockey, Adam Wylde of KiSS 92.5. He currently uploads the podcast to the audio sharing website Soundcloud, as well as iTunes. The podcast has recently been noticed as one of Canada's most popular sports podcasts on iTunes. Shortly after its creation, the podcast was sponsored by Canadian pizza franchise Panago. Since foundation, the Steve Dangle Podcast has had notable guests including Jeff Marek (personality for Sportsnet), James Mirtle (writer for the Globe and Mail), Greg Wyshynski (writer for Yahoo! Sports),Elliotte Friedman (writer for Sportsnet), and Richard Peddie (former President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment).
