Stevan Plinck

Dutch-Indonesian Guru Stevan Plinck is one of the leading and most well-known current teachers and proponents of the martial art known as Pukulan Pentjak Silat Serak. With students in the United States, Europe, Asia and indeed worldwide, Guru Plinck studied directly under Paul de Thoaurs, who is considered one of the fathers of the martial art.
Guru Plinck's students include best selling author, human performance expert and screenwriter of the Emmy Award winning teleplay "A Stitch In Time," Steven Barnes, guru Narin Latthitiam whose work appears in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" movies, best selling author Steve Perry and other gifted and talented people.
Guru Plinck is a noted teacher of Pukulan Pentjak Silat Serak, currently in what he considers his "Teaching Window." Guru Plinck's not only teaches form and technique but also imparts understanding and perspective of Silat and of martial arts in general, sharing the experience it has taken a lifetime to acquire.
Guru Plinck's professional work and teaching appear in The Serak Series, a video presentation produced by Lexington Film, and Pentjak Silat Bukti Negara produced by Paladin Press.
