John W. Fawell is currently an associate professor of humanities at Boston University College of General Studies. He has an undergraduate degree in General Studies in the Humanities, an MA and PhD in comparative literature, all from the University of Chicago. He is the author of three books: Hitchcock's Rear Window: The Well Made Film (Southern Illinois University Press), The Art of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West (McFarland) and The Hidden Art of Hollywood.(Praeger). He recently provided the feature commentary for Universal Legacy Series' Special Edition DVD re-release of Rear Window. (2008)
