Stephen R. Pastore

Stephen R. Pastore is an American writer.

Life

Writer and playwright Stephen R. Pastore has authored such works as Never on These Shores, Sinclair Lewis: A Descriptive Bibliography, The Helene Hanff Library, The Black Riders and Other Lines and Thomas Hardy: A Collector's Guide. Pastore's most recent play, Coming Back from Lyonnesse, was successfully produced in the United Kingdom in 2003. He collaborated with Gregory Corso, deceased, on the book of verse, Brink of the World. He lives with his wife, Heather, in Pennsylvania and Provence, France. He has two daughters.

The Weinberg Library at the University of Scranton displayed a collection the collection of literary and historical forgeries from the collection of Stephen R. Pastore entitled "Harmless to Homicidal" from February 12 through April 22, 2007.

The McKillop Library at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island holds the Stephen R. Pastore Collection of the works of Sinclair Lewis, The collection was donated in 1999. Mr. Pastore also donated a significant collection of material related to the history of Newport including several unique manuscripts. In addition, Mr. Pastore has loaned to the library his extensive collection of Oz books, publications of the Roycrofters in East Aurora, New York and the works of Helene Hanff of 84 Charing Cross Road fame.
