Stan Krome (born c.1950, Minnesota, US) has been teaching at UCSB Extension since 2001. Classes include: Principles and Techniques of Web Design, Exploring Advanced Web Techniques, Interactive Animation for the Web - Adobe Flash, eBiz Technologies, and How to Build an eCommerce Web Site. While in school himself, at Santa Barbara City College, he and his class received an award for their multimedia production for the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum Stan is the founder of First Crescent Designs, specializing in user-centered web design and development. First Crescent Designs has created web sites for diverse clients such as New York Times acclaimed Outsider artist Anado -- known technology investor and entrepreneur Dennis Cagan and accomplished author, movie critic, journalist Marshall Fine. For over 19 years, Stan has been a professional communicator in the Santa Barbara area. Stan was one of the original contributors to the Santa Barbara-based technology weekly, Silicon 2.0 (no longer in existence) He also worked in radio at Santa Barbara stations KMGQ Magic 106.3, KRUZ 103.3 and 1340 KIST as a Deejay, Production Director, and Music Director, receiving the distinguished Silver Microphone National Finalist Award in 1994.
