History
The company was started in 1986 with the opening of a Wine Art of St. Louis on Clayton rd in St. Louis In 1992 the name was changed to St. Louis Wine and Beermaking and the store was moved to Lamp and lantern Village. The business grew into St. Louis’ only dedicated source for wine and beermaking knowledge, ingredients, and equipment. In 2006 David Deaton bought the store and shortly after, the cramped location was becoming a burden . By 2009 it had outgrown it’s location. Luckily there was a much larger location available and St. Louis Wine and beermaking was again moved to its current location at 231.
