Firedog

Firedog (formerly known as IQ Crew or simply PC Services) was the brand name through which Circuit City stores offered in-home & in-store services for computer repair, installation and support, and home theater product installation. Firedog came to an end with the closing of Circuit City in March 2009. Firedog is now owned by Firstmark.

Circuit City divested itself of the Firedog brand through its sale to Firstmark for $250,000US as was announced on September 2, 2009

Due to its recent sale, the following sections on the services that Firedog offers may be changing with the new ownership of the company and lack of retail outlets to perform Firedog branded services in.
Services
Firedog offers in-home, in-store, and online services which began December 12, 2005. Firedog allows certified technicians to access consumers' computers over a high-speed Internet connection to view, configure, demonstrate and repair computers and other technology products. Firedog's services cover all Windows-compatible computers and computer accessories to give consumers full tech support. The range of Firedog services now offered through Firedog.com include both setup and training for PCs, wireless networks, MP3 players, digital cameras, and more.
Car Electronics
Car Electronics include mobile video, stereos, speakers, amps, alarms/remote starts, and all the others items that are installed into the cars in the After-market, is all installed in one place along with trouble shooting problems with consumers products. The Firedog Car Audio Installers are also sales people who also give their personal opinion and knowledge about products to the salespeople and customers. Many stores also allow their installers to do custom fabrication for such as fiberglassing, custom box building, etc.
PC Services
PC Services include repairs, upgrades, and training as well as periphery services such as transferring home videos to DVD and converting old CDs or tapes to MP3.
Home Theater Services
Home theater services include mounting flat panel TVs (wooden or metal studs) installing in-wall or in-ceiling speakers as well as consolidating all of a customers remotes into one and training the customer on how to operate their home theater equipment.
Integrated Services
Integrated Services are meant to converge PC technology with home theater equipment. Customers can purchase service which include setting up gaming consoles for online play, connecting computers to a TV for watching media, viewing photos or listening to MP3s and setting up whole-home wireless networks for PC and home theater connection.
Online Services
Online Services are Remote services offered by Circuit City to assist with MP3 player, Digital Camera, Networking, and PC repairs and troubleshooting. Effective immediately on January 3, 2009, Circuit City has suspended all Online and Remote Firedog Services indefinitely with the exception of Remote Data Backup.
