Sperm stalker

A Sperm Stalker is a woman who seeks out a man solely for being a sperm donor and who subsequently also seeks his ability to provide financially for the offspring of that sperm with little or no regard to the sperm provider.

History
*The term originated by Chicago attorney Enrico J. Mirabelli in reference to the case between Chicago businessman Michael Wilford and his acquaintance, Christin Harris. Mr. Wilford donated his sperm to Ms. Harris at her request, and twin daughters resulted after in vitro fertilization. Unfortunately, Mr. Wilford was not aware that he was going to be sued for financial support thereafter, and litigation ensued. Mr. Wilford insisted that he was simply helping out a friend, but Ms. Harris claimed that the two were in a loving relationship.

*Mr. Mirabelli contended that Mr. Wilford simply donated sperm to Ms. Harris because her biological clock was ticking and she had asked him to help her conceive a child, but that Harris was, in reality, a 'Sperm Stalker'. Ms. Harris had attempted in vitro fertilization 3 times prior to this matter using anonymous, frozen sperm but was unsuccessful. Mr. Mirabelli termed her a 'Sperm Stalker' because she clearly had not been seeking support from the 3 prior anonymous donors, and it would follow logically that she would not seek support from Mr. Wilford. According to Chicago's WBBM , the two had met on a dating website, and after two years of litigation, Mr. Wilford agreed to undisclosed financial support of the children.

*Mr. Mirabelli has been featured in the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago magazine, and the Eddie and Jobo radio show on Chicago's B96 with specific regard to his coining the term 'Sperm Stalker'. Sperm Stalker is now used to describe a woman who seeks out a man solely for his ability to provide viable sperm and who subsequently also seeks his ability to provide financially for the offspring of that sperm with little or no regard to the sperm provider.
