Southern Democratic Assembly of Yemen in Australia

The Southern Democratic Assembly of Yemen in Australia is the branch in Australia of the Southern Democratic Assembly of Yemen.
The Southern Democratic Assembly of Yemen was established in 2003 in London. From 2006, it became a part of the SOUTHERN MOVEMENT. In 2009, the former President of the People's Democratic Republic of South Yemen (which briefly existed in 1994), Ali Salim al-Beidh, became active again in Germany and is now regarded by many as the leader, although there has been no formal election process as yet.
In 2010, the president sent a representative, former Yemeni Army Colonel Ahmed Al-Shubili Bendion, to Australia to act as the representative of the movement in Australia. The movement does not have a formal structure in Australia as yet.
