Southdown Creative is a film and video and live event production company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The company is primarily known for its creation of comedic corporate videos, such as "See the Future" and the First Sundays Comedy Film Festival award-winning "The Man Behind the Motion". History Southdown Creative's Fred Northup, Jr. met his future business partner, Ryan McFaul, while both were attending NYU Film School. While there, Northup was hired by Saturday Night Live into its film unit, the unit primarily responsible for producing the fake commercials. After Saturday Night Live, Northup worked in Los Angeles at Warner Bros. Television before moving to Seattle. After working for five years as a creative writer for Microsoft Game Studios, Northup founded Southdown Creative. The name Southdown Creative is a play on the last name of its founder, Fred Northup, Jr. Current projects In addition to its corporate clients, Southdown Creative completed production on two seasons of The Local Music Show, a television program hosted by KEXP's John Richards. They are currently in development on a television pilot.
