Sonja Benskin Mesher (RCA) * 1947 in Bournemouth is a British painter. Life and Work Sonja Benskin Mesher is an artist. She now works in a medieval longhouse in Llanelltyd, North Wales. Her paintings are abstract. Early designs received awards from BAA and the Sunday Times, and since then more prizes have been awarded for the landscape paintings, drawings, and abstract images. She exhibits in galleries and museums worldwide. The artist's inspiration comes mainly from her own environment, but also from her early years spent living in St Ives. Recently, Sonja Benskin Mesher was responsible for bringing an international exhibition called A Book About Death to Machynlleth. Exhibitions (a selection) 2010 Theatre Harlech 2007 Unicorn Theatre.
