Song Stage

Song Stage is a music competition show fueled by raw emotion. The show aims to strip away the Hollywood glamour and cut to the core of the music scene, by offering real musicians, singing real songs, for a real audience.
Air Dates
Season 1 of Song Stage is set to premiere on April 15, 2016 on PBS (WTTW and WYCC locally). The show's first season, consisting of 8 episodes, will air weekly leading up to the season final. The geographic areas are as follows:

Cast
Host - Ryan Wiggins
Ryan Wiggins debuted on the entertainment scene in 2002 with the Chicago-based sketch comedy groups It's Not a Book and Live on Tape Delay. Though he is best known from his on-air work at one of St. Louis's biggest radio stations, 99.1 Joy FM (KLJY).
His background is primarily as a writer/producer, before transitioning to media personality. Wiggins produced several shows in the mid 2000s for UPN and CW stations, and also wrote and created the comic strip Sherbert which garnered a significant newspaper following from 2003 to 2014.
He has interviewed celebrities in a variety of arenas, such as Kurt Warner, Mike Matheny, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Kirk Cameron, and Switchfoot. He is co-owner of Manniversary Media LLC, a media production company in St. Louis, MO delivering content to major U.S., Asian, and European television markets through several ongoing projects.
Music Coach - Roy Wells
Roy Wells has been involved in the music industry for over 30 years. Growing up in St. Louis MO, Roy has been performing music since his early teens. Whether it be playing in bands or Recording in the studio, collaborating with other musicians has inspired him to assist others on their musical journey.
Roy is best known for his work as a freelance music producer and audio engineer. Wells has helped artists throughout the midwest to perfect their original works through writing and arranging. In 2008, he launched Middletown Records an independent record label based out of his hometown, St. Louis MO.
