Something Strong is the debut solo album by the Northern Irish singer Mervyn Spence, released under the pseudonum "O'Ryan" (Which is taken from his mother's maiden name), through Spence's own label, Parachute Music, in 1993. "Emer May", the title track and "Don't Let It Slip Away" were later re-recorded for inclusion on Spence's second solo album (Again under the "O'Ryan" pseudonym), 1995's Initiate.
