Something for Rockets

Something for Rockets was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band included Rami Perlman (vocals and guitar), Josh Eichenbaum (keyboards) and Barry Davis (drums). The band recently released its second, albeit final, full-length record with Blink 182 and former front man Mark Hoppus helping to produce.
History
Perlman, son of violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, met Eichenbaum while attending Brown University where Eichenbaum studied computer music and composition. At the time, Perlman was writing guitar songs, and the two recorded during their senior year. They to Los Angeles to begin working on became Something For Rockets. In Los Angeles, they met Barry Davis, ex-drummer of Boston fusion band Mori Stylez, who joined them.
After completing a self-titled 3-song EP, they were showcased by BMI as the Band of the Month. Los Angeles radio began to take notice, particularly Steve Jones at Indie 103.1. Jones started playing the single "Might as Well" on his show Jonesy's Jukebox. Other stations such as KCRW and KXLU followed. The press followed, with a nationally syndicated piece in the Los Angeles Times, along with features in Entertainment Weekly, GQ, Los Angeles Daily News, Campus Circle and URB. In addition, SFR was featured on MTV's You Hear it First, and later went on to host an MTV news segment covering the South By Southwest music festival.
The band began work on a full-length album in fall 2003.
