Softlink is a Library management System provider, established in 1983. Softlink is a Software Developer specialising in Library Management Systems, with their head office in Brisbane, Australia.
Softlink is currently implemented in over 10,000 libraries across 108 nations and all library sectors (including Schools, Law Libraries, Special Libraries, Public Libraries, Medical Libraries and Theological Libraries) with offices in Australia, United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand, as well as agencies and distribution networks worldwide.
History
*1983 - Softlink established by John Dunne
*1984 - Bob Dunne joins John Dunne at Softlink
*1985 - Softlink's ALARM is installed at All Hallow's, Brisbane
*1988 - Development of Oasis begins
*1992 - Softlink establishes a UK office, Softlink Europe & begins sales to UK libraries
*1994 - Softlink Asia established in New Dehli
*1996 - Softlink America is established to sell Softlink solutions to US schools
*1997 - Gates Library Foundation donates $400million to help US public libraries develop stronger computer networks
*1997 - Alice, Softlink's Window's based library software for schools is launched
*1998 - Softlink established Softlink Hong Kong and begins to sell Alice to Thailand
*1999 - Softlink begins to export products to China and Japan
*2002 - Softlink Pacific is expanded through the takeover of New Solutions Limited
*2003 - Oliver, Softlink's latest web-based solution for school libraries is launched
*2006 - Liberty v4 is launched
*2006 - Oliver Junior, a web-based library solution for Primary Schools is launched
*2007 - Olly! Softlink's animated catalogue for young library users is made available to Public and School Libraries worldwide
