SM City Olongapo is a new constructed shopping mall of SM Prime Holdings, the country's largest mall operator, opened its 43rd mall here, boosting the city's bid to become a premier destination with continued growth in tourism industry. The first SM Supermalls in the city of Olongapo where in, it was situated in the old site of the Olongapo City Mall beside the former Naval Base and near its rival mall Harbor Point, owned by Ayala Malls, a real estate subsidiary of Ayala Land, and affiliate of Ayala Corporation. It was designed by Architectonica and Point Design Inc. It has a total land area of 42,000 square meters. The Soft opening was handled last December 15, 2011 where SM Supermarket was officially opened followed by Jollibee and Watsons.
