Skeo movie

Skeo Movie started as an independent film project at the San Francisco Academy of the Arts. It is a theatrical short film that chronicles a day in the life of a Parisian visiting San Francisco for the summer. Using creative camera angles, the film adeptly captures the struggles stemming from the human condition as the protagonist, Orchid, goes through her daily activities. First she deceives her mother regarding her plans to exercise during the day, a powerful symbolic reference to the pressure imposed by the matriarchs of society to adhere to a strict body image. Orchid then abandons her plans after her mother leaves for work, instead choosing to sleep throughout the day. Her sleep is interrupted by several ukulele dream sequences, a vague reference to the free-form pagan lifestyle that may better suit a person of Orchid's waning ambition. Finally, when mother returns home, Orchid attempts to deceive her, complaining of how sore her body had become and how she would never be able to exercise again. The movie then abruptly ends leaving the audience to ponder the existentialist questions presented therein.
