Sino Japanese Wars and Conflicts

China and Japan, one of the two strong nations of Asia has fought many wars and conflict throughout history of the world. China has influenced Japan but still there remains hatred between both of them.
Historical Background
China] was like one of the superpowers on Earth in early times. On the other hand, Japan was a small state not having very large empire.
Battle of Baekgang
It was the first war between China and Japan. It occurred on the issue of Korea. Tang and Silla won the war against Yamato Japan and Baekje. The cause of this battle was rivalries and foreign policy of these kingdoms.
Japanese piracy in China and Mongolian Invasion of China

Wokou were Japanese pirates who were actively in pirating China. A big conflict took place when Mongols came to throne. Kublai Khan, invaded Japan in 1271. Korea also aided China in the war. Japanese won this war by defeating a very large army which was a combination of Chinese and Korean forces.
Japanese Invasion of Korea(1592-1598)
A large conflict took place in 1592-1598. Like the previous battle, Chinese and Korean kingdoms united against Japanese kingdom. It resulted in defeat of Japanese kingdom and expansion of the formers.
First Sino Japanese War (1 August 1894 - 17 April 1895)
After this Japanese Invasion of Korea, Japan adopted a policy of isolation until the arrival of Commodore Perry who forced Japan to do trading with other nations of the world including China. After Meiji Reformation , Japanese like Europe and America also took interest in imperialism. This led to conflicts with China and Korea. It resulted in a first nation like war called
