Singa (karaoke)

Singa is a Finnish karaoke streaming service founded in 2015 and headquartered in Helsinki. The platform provides on-demand access to a large catalog of licensed karaoke tracks for both individual users and commercial venues.
The company aims to modernize the karaoke experience by providing a digital solution for both consumers and businesses, offering access to a vast library of licensed karaoke tracks across various devices, similar to how Spotify transformed music consumption.
History
Singa was founded in Helsinki in 2015 by Atte Hujanen and Tomi Pajunen. The company launched with the goal of bringing karaoke into the digital era, offering a user-friendly streaming platform akin to how Spotify modernized music listening.
In June 2017, Singa secured €1.75 million in seed funding led by Initial Capital, with participation from Superhero Capital and Reaktor Ventures.
In June 2025, Singa announced a licensing agreement with Warner Music Group, granting access to original master recordings from the label's extensive catalog.
This partnership expands Singa's karaoke song catalogue beyond soundalike recordings and enables users to perform using authentic backing tracks from artists.
