Simon Craig Potter (born October 4, 1957) is a British geologist and businessman. He is the current chief executive officer (CEO) , of Bahamas Petroleum Company. Early life Simon C. Potter graduated from the Royal School of Mines, where he received a bachelor degree of Mining Geology in 1979. He then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Imperial College London in 1985. Career Potter began his career at British Petroleum, where he held multiple executive positions spanning Australia, the UK, Alaska and Indonesia, over the course of a 14 year period. He was appointed to chief executive of Hardman Resources in 2005, where he led the company through the start-up of oil production at the Chinguetti Field in 2006. Potter Served as the managing Director and CEO of Arrow Energy International beginning in 2010, which later branched off into Dart Energy, where he remained until 2011. In October 2011, Potter was chief Executive officer of Bahamas Petroleum Company PLC.
