Simon Bowes-Lyon, 19th Earl of Strathmore

Simon Patrick Bowes-Lyon, 19th and 6th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (born 18 June 1986), styled Lord Glamis from 1987 to 2016, is a Scottish nobleman and peer. He is the eldest son of Michael Bowes-Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. His mother is Isobel Weatherall, daughter of Captain Anthony Edward Weatherall. His parents divorced in 2004, and he succeeded his father in 2016. He is a first cousin twice removed of Queen Elizabeth II, and a great-great-nephew of the late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
The Earl owns Glamis Castle, which is open to the public.
In June 2020, Durham Police contacted the Earl for violating the COVID-19 related travel restrictions then in place. A report said he travelled 200 miles to Holwick Lodge, Middleton-in-Teesdale and was spotted by his butler buying newspapers.
