Silent Lapse is a progressive, melodic rock band out of Westphalia, Michigan. They are known in some progressive rock circles for their early 2008 release of their eponymous 3-song EP that serves as a hint to their upcoming debut album entitled Birthright. The EP received praise for showcasing the band's talent with balanced songwriting, earning a 5 star review through ytsejam.com, a progressive rock website . The band has stated the forthcoming concept album is rooted in melody driven vocals and guitars. Silent Lapse has played venues such as The Emerald Theatre (Mt. Clemens, MI), The Machine Shop (Flint, MI) and the I-Rock Nightclub (Detroit, MI), just to name a few. Silent Lapse is currently in the studio working on the drums tracks to their debut album, "Birthright," with an expected release in early September, 2008.
