Shy Ronnie

Rihanna and Shy Ronnie is a Saturday Night Live Digital Short sketch featuring Rihanna and Andy Samberg who portrays a shy elementary school student named "Shy Ronnie" who is cued to do a rap verse accompanying Rihanna's choral hook. The segment aired originally on December 5, 2009.
The sketch takes place in an elementary school classroom with students. The chalkboard reads "Knowledge" in large bold lettering, which suggests that the theme of the song is to inspire the children to enrich their lives with the power of learning.
Plot
Rihanna sings the hook on top of a hip-hop/R&B beat (similar to her past hit Live Your Life featuring Atlanta rapper T.I.). As her verse completes, Shy Ronnie takes to the mic reluctantly and almost silently, causing a very awkward situation between Rihanna and the children in the audience. Later in the song, Ronnie causes microphone feedback and attempts to interact with his audience by making them sway their arms side to side (which fails). During the middle of Ronnie's second verse, he pees himself. Rihanna proclaims (still in song) that she should have paid Kanye West instead to accompany her on the song, and leaves. Immediately upon Rihanna's departure, Ronnie sheds his shy demeanor, and busts out two lines of rap clearly. Rihanna reenters because she forgot her purse - Ronnie reverts to his shy self. When Rihanna leaves again finally, the beat stops, and Ronnie continues in acapella, ending with a very weak finish.
