HTF-15

HTF-15 is non-toxic heat transfer fluid derived by Chris Edgecombe from renewable vegetable by-products arising from chemical processing.
He was asked to find a solution to the problems of using Kerosene based heat transfer fluids which were creating serious risks of pollution in the case of leaks and were restricted under the COMAH regulations.
HTF-15 was particularly designed for use in long pipelines, especially those routed underground where the risk of pollution is greatest.
At the end of its life HTF-15 can be blended with HFO or other mineral hydrocarbon fuels and used as a clean furnace fuel addition.
