Shuvendu Panda

Shuvendu Panda is currently the head coach of India U15 football team, which is a feeder team for the U-17 team which plays for the AFC U-16 Championship and FIFA U-17 World Cup. He was a state level footballer who played for Odisha state team at the Santosh Trophy.
Playing career
Suvendu Panda represented Odisha as a player in Santosh Trophy several times.
Coaching career
In 2011, Suvendu appeared in the AFC ‘C’ Licence Certificate course examinations, held in October that year in Cuttack (Orissa), and suuccessfully passed the exam and became officially AFC ‘C’ licensed coached. Shuvendu is the first Odia to receive AFC-A licensing certificate under Scott O'Donell. He was an AIFF-D license instructor. He had also worked as a coach in Odisha State soccer team in the age group of U-14, U-16 and Santosh Trophy till 2017. Football conditioning and periodisation expert Raymond Verheijen played a vital role in selecting Shuvendu, who participated in Football Conditioning and Periodisation Mentorship Program held at Amsterdam, Nederlands. All India Football Federation (AIFF) had appointed Odisha’s football coach Suvendu Panda as the coach of the head coach of India national under-15 boys team. AFC-A licensed coach Suvendu is the first Odia to become the head coach of National U-15 boys team.
