Shuki Ohana

Shuki Ohana (, also known as "Yehoshua Ohana" ()) (born April 27, 1966) is the mayor of Safed, Israel.
Biography
Born and raised in Safed, from 1984 to 2007 he served as head of organization branch and Torah in Logistics Corps. A logistics officer in the tank division, a staff officer in the Northern Command. Graduated from the Israel Defense Forces with the rank of lieutenant colonel, graduated from the College of National Security (Command and Staff), Political Science, graduated from the course of directors and senior officers of corporations at Tel Aviv University, and served as coordinator of the activities of the executive bodies of the in the North . In the 19th Knesset elections, the Likud candidate was the representative of the Galilee and the valleys. He was first elected as a member of the Safed City Council. In the municipal elections held in October 2018, he ran for the third time on the mayor of Safed, and won the November runoff by a majority of 61%, defeating the pro-haredim candidate Nahman Avraham Gelbach. He holds a BA in Business Administration, a Master's degree in Educational Administration, and an LLB degree in Law at the Kiryat Ono Academic College. With his wife Dorit, they have three children.
