Shubham Gupta (; born 1978) is an Indian writer of fiction and poetry. He is also a cartoonist, illustrator, essayist and lyricist. Shubham's first book of fiction was a compendium of short stories named 'Conflict And Other Stories', published 2005. It has received critical public acclaim. His book of poetry 'On The Way, By The Way' is a collection of nineteen thoughts. He has written the lyrics for the track 'Christmas Time - The Snowfall in Cincinnati', recorded in the US in 2007. Shubham is also a social activist - being involved in projects for the education for the deprived and the underprivileged. He is also a patron of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI). In his spare time, he is a freelance journalist dividing his time between Bangalore in India and the United States. Early life and education Born in Ranchi in 1978, Gupta studied at St.Thomas School, Ranchi and later did his graduation from Gossner College, Ranchi University. |
